We had a very nice stay on 12th September.
Everything about this old-fashioned hotel was exceptional. The room we stayed in was decent sized and newly remodelled with a beautiful view, couch, for instance. The staff was reasonably good and skilful. The location was excellent - just off the restaurant on the Friday evening, the golf course and the sea, and Royal Dornoch Golf Club and the amazing beaches and seascape beyond. Plus, a 13th century historic church was located in the immediate surroundings.

The hotel was in a brilliant location so close to the best golf courses in the world and the superb Royal Dornoch golf club. I was surprised at nearby Harry Gow Bakery, they had some goodies, drinks.

My 1 night in Dornoch were great. The room I stayed in was stunning, it had 2 single beds or 1 king-size bed. The staff was courteous and check in was quick. I went to a great restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the local dishes.
The bathroom was very small.
